Looking for amazing happy hour specials? Here is a list of places in Joburg offering great deals on drinks.

Balata (Randpark) ?

Pop in to the Fairway Hotel’s Balata for happy hour every Friday between 4pm and 7pm. You’ll get 50% off all whiskeys, beers, draughts, ciders and wines by the glass. The special runs until 26 April 2019.

Beerhouse (Fourways)

Between 4pm to 6pm every Monday and Tuesday, Beerhouse celebrates Hoppy Hour (they made it cute), when you can grab two pints of Devil’s Peak Lager for R60. Ladies’ Night happens every Thursday from 6pm to 9pm, when women can enjoy two-for-one Kopparberg Cosmo cocktails.

Billy the B.U.M.S (Fourways, Joburg)

Pop in for the After Graft Draught special, which runs Mondays to Fridays, from 4pm to 6pm. Castle Lite, Black Label, Budweisser, Heineken and Jack Black draughts cost just R25. Other specials includes a 2,5 liter draught tower for R125, bottled beer for R18, selected cocktails for R35 and selected bottles of wine for R90. Two-for-one cocktails are also available Wednesdays to Saturdays from 8pm to 10pm.

Hooters (Fourways, Kempton Park, Ruimsig)

The weekend vibes start early at Hooters. On Thirsty Thursdays you can buy a draught for R19,99 from 4pm. From 4pm on Fridays, cocktails are half price.

The Office (Greenside)

Step into The Office at the end of a long day, when you can buy one Kicker Jug and get another free every day until 7pm. The jugs cost R70 and you can choose between rum, cane and gin with flavours such as litchi, mango, kola soda, ginger beer and more. There are also two-for-one cocktail specials daily.

Piza e Vino (Melrose Arc, Melville, Rosebank)

Pizza and wine is such a lovely combination, and even better when the wine is discounted. Buy one and get another free every Monday to Friday, between 5pm and 6pm. The special applies to house wine and selected beer.

Q.ba Caffe (Edenvale)

Every day between 5pm and 7pm might be rush hour on the roads, but at Q.ba Caffe, rush hour is when cocktails such as cosmopolitans, margaritas and mojitos go for R39. On Thursday night, it’s ladies’ night: from 7pm to 11pm, women pay half price for all cocktails.

The Radisson Blu (Sandton)

With its gorgeous views from the rooftop, this is a great spot for a sundowner. And to sweeten the deal, a two-for-one special on beers, ciders and house wines runs every day from 5pm to 7pm.

Six Cocktail Bar (Melville)

Six is as well known for its happy hour special as it is for its selection of creative drinks and eats. For those who don’t know, the two-for-one cocktail happy hour is every day from 12pm to 7pm.

Tiger’s Milk (Bryanston, Fourways )? 

This trendy eatery invites you to pick your poison between 5pm and 7pm every day. You can get two selected beers, wines or cocktails for the price of one.

Topo Gigio (Greenside)

Topo Gigio invites you to experience alfresco dining with a delicious selection of Mediterranean and Italian dishes. If you go from Sunday to Thursday between 3pm and 5pm, you can add a half-price jug. The special also runs on Fridays from 2pm to 4pm and Saturdays from 1pm to 3pm.

Yamitsuki (Bedfordview)

On Thursdays and Fridays, from 3pm to 6pm, the gin and by-the-glass wine is on offer on a buy-one-get-one-free basis.
