The Marabi Club is run by the same team that operates the Saxon Hotel, with Vusi Ndlovu, winner of the Africa and Middle-East regional final for the San Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 in the kitchen.
Expect dishes like mussels cooked in Black Label beer with aged cream and finished with dill oil. The popular KFQ starter consists of deep-fried quail legs with charred corn and miso mayo. One of the new dishes is a vegetarian delight of rosemary and garlic roasted butternut, ricotta, pistachio, fermented pumpkin and honey.

An absolutely unforgettable experience. From the minute you pull up, you're transported back in time... It's obvious how much passion and effort was put into this restaraunt, and everything about it is sublime.

Marabi Club has it's own language of embracing you as their guest. The mood of the restaurant is consistent with their live band, and I believe the oh-so energetic waiters play a big role in the energy of the place.
You tend to wiggle your hips while eating, like a little child, out of the excitement of the music, the great waiters dancing around you while gracefully serving your table and the smiles from the live band.
While the waiters tend to have fun with you, they are noteworthy when attending to you, exceptional when presenting to you and as well as friendly and respectable.
Have I mentioned how great it is for the Chef, Vusi, and the Manager to pop by your table to find out how your food was, "awesome".
The food, OMG, I believe is the now generation term of expressing a certain type of amazement. The flavours of the food is meticulously thought of, from the starters, mains, down to the desert. The presentation of the food is not only perfect and appetizing but dainty too.
They have a variety of meals to choose from and I am happy and proud to say, I had the pleasure of tasting everything on their menu in one night between myself and 4 friends, yes, including desert. It was an unforgettable experience, my palate was upgraded and schooled that night.
My favourite meal, Butter poached lobster , Sunday roast and for desert, pushing passion. I do not mind eating at Marabi, over and over and over again. The food is smooth, the integration of the different flavours is done so well, the colours of the food just compliment each other making it only easy for the presentation. I do not remember ever seeing any access oil on any plate that was served to us, access fat on any meat related dish, not a lot of fried foods, which was superb. Chef Vusi knows exactly what he is doing in that kitchen.
Marabi Club is a phenomenal place to eat at, a perfect night out. I would recommend it to any locals and internationals and I am confident enough to get an excellent review myself on the recommendation.
I am still dancing around for their valet services, I still cannot get over it.
