In 1989, the first ever frozen yoghurt store was opened in the picturesque town of Stellenbosch, South Africa. With this unique concept, Marcel’s Frozen Yoghurt introduced a hungry market to its first taste of a tempting new frozen sensation that would soon take the country’s taste buds by storm.

It wasn’t long before this delicious soft serve creation became a frozen favourite both in the heart of the winelands and beyond, with new stores opening nationwide to keep up with the growing demand. There are currently a total of 26 South African and 8 International Marcel’s stores in business, serving loyal and new customers alike their favourite mouth-watering flavours.

Marcel’s is not only available at numerous outlets across the country, but is also stocked on the shelves of some of South Africa’s major retailers.
