Owner's description

Situated within the Protea Hotel Stellenbosch in Technopark, with magnificent views over the Stellenbosch Mountains, Die Wingerd restaurant offers relaxed dining with informal décor and a contemporary menu complemented by a selection of wines from the Stellenbosch region. Die Wingerd is a child-friendly restaurant with a large outdoor jungle gym and a children section in the inside of the restaurant. Enjoy a glass of wine and a meal overlooking the Helderberg Mountains.

We did not have such a good experience. We were a table of 11 & it seems that the kitchen could not handle our order. We ordered pizzas as well which was done in 15min then it was standing under the heater for more than 30min. The rest of our tables food only came more than 2hours later. Do not order the chicken schnitzel it was dry & tasteless. Do not think I would recommend big groups to visit this establishment.

We ate at this restaurant in March and not only was the food superb but it is great value for money, which is extremely rare for a restaurant today.

Highly recommended for;

Awesome views.
Good friendly service.
Good portions.
Odd bin wien selectction.
