De Grendel Restaurant rests on a ridge overlooking Cape Town’s iconic Table Mountain on the majestic De Grendel estate in the Durbanville Wine Valley.
The Graaff family’s passion for winemaking extends to the philosophy they employ at their restaurant: the use of seasonal and locally sourced fresh produce, and a menu that is updated regularly, reflective of the unique culinary heritage of the Cape, and created with complementary De Grendel wines in mind. Diners can enjoy De Grendel’s award-winning wines at cellar door prices at De Grendel Restaurant.

My daughter, a friend and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at beautiful De Grendel yesterday. The service staff are amazingly knowledgeable, efficient and rate amongst the best in the world. We tried soft shelled crab which was delicious. The line fish was excellent as was the pork trio and beef fillet. As it was a special occasion we De Grendel’s Cap Classique which is one of my favorites. I tried their Viognier which was so good I bought two cases We chose a perfect day to enjoy the amazing view. Altogether a superb day.

An absolutely fantastic dining experience! The service, ambience and vibe was world class! The food was incredible with mouth watering explosions of flavor and amazing combinations, thank you to everyone at De Grendel!

Magnificent view, superb service from our knowledgable, attentive waiter Joshua, delicious food and great wine completed our special lunch at De Grendel. Highlights were the soft shell crab, superb beef fillet and the most delicious trio of sorbet for dessert. Will definitely return.
