Rumbullion at The Roundhouse 

The Rumbullion, which means 'A riotous good time", focuses on the sharing of great food, fine wines and forgotten cocktails. You’ll find it amongst 300-year-old pomegranate trees, where you can relax on landscaped gardens. Guests can enjoy loaves of freshly baked bread, decanters of wine, and sumptuous whole roasts.

Today I decided to take my parents to Rumbullion for lunch seeing that I keep telling them how wonderful the food is and how spectacular the setting is.



They thought I was talking rubbish today. I did phone in the morning for lunch that afternoon and was pleasently surprised to get a table.



Once we got there, the manager I assume, showed us to our table. Everytime we go there, we sit at the nice white bench tables on the lawn. This table was by the very loud and smelly kitchen sitting at a very uncomfortable table. We asked for the other tables we enjoy sitting at and were told they were allocated for bigger lunch bookings. Tables of 2, 3 and 4 were seated at this tables and by the time we left, half the tables still had no one seated. Not very nice!



The usully lovely food was tasteless and in particular the burger was dry and tasteless. Not what we used to there.



Something I got excited about sharing with family turned out to be an embarrassing experience with terribly awful service.
