Magnum pop-up store to open in Joburg

Ice cream lovers are invited to join Magnum as they celebrate their 25^th birthday with a unique pop-up store opening Saturday 1 November at The Zone in Rosebank.

Johannesburg joins the likes of New York, Amsterdam and Paris as it welcomes the travelling Magnum Pleasure pop-up store – an exclusive concept shop where you can live out the dream of designing your own Magnum. The process is simple: purchase a classic vanilla ice cream, dunk it in a white, dark or milk chocolate dip and choose your three favourite toppings. There are 17 toppings to choose from, including edible rose petals, honeycomb brittle, popping candy and chocolate pecan cookies. The decadent ‘Make my Magnum’ experience will cost R40 per ice cream.

The pop-up will also host a number of events including a 5FM preview party hosted by Forbes & Fix on 28 November and the official launch party hosted by Bonang Matheba and Jonathan Boyton-Lee on 29 November. You can also expect a couple of surprise events including fashion shows, jewellery displays and VIP events which will be announced to their followers on social media.

The Magnum Pleasure Store is open for a limited period of eight weeks (Saturday 1 November to Wednesday 24 December) and the opening times are: Monday to Thursday from 10am to 8pm; Friday to Saturday from 9am to 8pm; and Sundays from 10am to 5pm. I would love to open a popup store for Magnum in Cape Town over the Festive Season, please let me know if that is at all possible. I am hardworking and have a wonderful attitude and love people, it would be a great pleasure for me to do that.

I am one of those people who never comments on issues of service. However, I am must send this shout-out to Mamuhau Kekana (I think she is in charge of the store) and her team. Despite the long line, I had an amazing experience. Brilliant service!!!!!!! I was truly blown away.
