I booked for the Eatery on Thursday evening for Saturday - person on the phone was pleasant and friendly. We found parking easily in the same road as the restaurant. I was really impressed with the service I received throughout the evening, with one of the owners inviting me to have a look upstairs, he made me feel very welcome. The waiter was knowledgeable on the menu and comfortable to make recommendations. Our wine glasses were constantly full and the food was perfectly timed. All courses were tasty, adequate portions and reasonably priced. I have to say, it's been been a while since I found a restaurant that ticks all the boxes! I will be returning next month to make use of the private dining room for my birthday.

Discovered the Eatery when they first started, absolutely loved it and have referred many friends. Went back there a couple of weeks ago as a family, with the intention to impress my mother in law visiting from the UK. She ordered the lamb, which was really tough - I even tried it and had to agree. Called the manager/part owner and raised it with him. He then went away and never retuned with an excuse, explanation or some sort of gesture for the tough lamb.

I must say that I was really disappointed by all of this, I don't think I will return in a hurry after this incident.

Returned to Eatery last week after a previous wonderful experience, but was rather disappointed. The food was pleasant enough, but the service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter paid us no attention unless we called him, and made no effort to engage with us. To receive the bill with a 'discretionary' 12.5% tip is just cheeky - tips are given for good service and should not be expected! I won't be rushing back.

Very disappointing. Reasonably priced, but when I ordered a ribeye steak with shoestring fries I ended up getting a pretty average piece of rump with frozen french fries. I would definitely not recommend it.
