This place is brilliant! What a location and view! They were really busy and they do say one must book 24 hrs in advance. Nevertheless my girl and I went there on a whim. Nothing beats a hard working attentive maitre d'. She really succeeded in getting us a table and we truly appreciated it. Waiters and even "busboy" staff were very attentive and friendly. Had the alcoholic strawberry daquiri's; wow! 6 oysters; wow! Had to order another 6. Couple of pizza's to go because we ran out of time. Very good pizza mind you. Service is a little slow but I dont really mind when you have great staff and great food. Well done Brass Bell. You are a Cape institution!

What a super place. The Brass Bell is the perfect venue to kick back and enjoy the views. Stunning. The food is consistently great. Cocktails are delicious. It gets busy during summer and on weekends so get there early or make a booking. I will be trying out their new beach restaurant on my next visit. The menu looks really good and the deck is beautiful. Well done Brass Bell.

Good food - love sitting by the sea side.

The Brass Bell is just about the only Kalk Bay restaurant where you won’t be forgotten about, get treated with disdain or abused. We visited on a mid-December Monday for lunch. The waiters are laidback but get the fair to the table timeously. We shared a seafood platter, which was tasty and fresh. The menu seems to have been jacked up slightly. It was cool.
