Quay Four’s elegant upstairs restaurant is where the emphasis is on fresh seafood. Choose between the exquisitely prepared Cape Lobster and the succulent catch of the day, or opt for the sumptuous seafood platter and enjoy the best of both worlds. The à la carte menu also includes a great feast of irresistible red meat, venison and poultry dishes. Not only do they pride themselves on their superior quality food, but also on the very high calibre of service that is offered by their professional waiters.

I cannot believe what badly-prepared seafood we were served in this prime location.

I visited Quay Four yesterday afternoon with a group of almost twenty people. Our waiter, Imre, was fantastic, and had all the time in the world to serve our needs - and was most accommodating and friendly. Some confusion was had due to the Tavern downstairs being seemingly independent from the restaurant upstairs, with menus and prices changing drastically from one level to another. As fantastic as our experience was, I sadly have to say I was completely underwhelmed by the food we were served. My girlfriend and I both had the Queen Prawns platter with chips, but the quality was not even on par with that of the mainstream franchised Ocean Basket. The portion was so small that I had to stop for something else to eat on the way home. I expected prawns with the name queen to be quite large, which was not the case, and then to at least be served on a bed of rice. The chips were nothing to write home about either, but the vegetables were absolutely fantastic! However, if I consider the vegetables to be the best part of a meal, then something must be wrong as I generally dislike them. All in all we had a great evening regardless, the venue itself was fantastic, I just felt that for the money I didnt get what I expected.
