We popped in for lunch at this lovely estate, and were impressed by the quality of the food. We were only looking for a light lunch, so ordered two starters from their new winter menu: a crumbed fried brie dish with beetroot and chevin coated in almonds, and peri-peri chicken livers. Both were delicious and filling - for starter portions. There were also delicious, freshly baked rolls and butter, and we enjoyed sitting outside surrounded by the old buildings. We also spied a fireplace inside - will keep that in mind for chillier winter days.
