This is one of Pretoria’s favourite sons showcasing Afrikaner cuisine to locals and foreigners. They have contemporised the food in a comfortable fashion and rely on good old-fashioned home-cooking, stylishly presented. The menu has all the traditional components and favours meat, but has its fair share if you want to go a different route. Highlights are marrow bones and biltong pâté as starters, with anything from bobotie to oxtail and different potjies as meat options accompanied by starches like samp and corn as alternatives and comfy vegetable side dishes for a complete meal. Sunday lunch with its set menu is a popular alternative.Wine:
The list is generous with a good selection of local wines.Service:

Even those with prejudice will be enchanted. (DdeB, September 2010).
