This is our weekend spot. We love it. We are a mixed couple and this place is so full of harmony, great guests, great service people and everyone is wellcome. Also the security guy is great and you can spend peaceful hours there. We have eaten most of the menu. Everything is outstanding. The R199 tapas special (4 Tapas) is perfect for a snack for 2 with a wine. However, we eat every single time the chicken feast and add 2 tapas which easy serves 2-3 people. Plus a nice bottle wine. This is the ultimative dinner in a great environment with the best service by far we experienced in Cape Town. We love this place and all our friends we introduced to it came all back and even ask us when we go back there.
All the food is great ! Had most things on the menu but they were out of home made chorizo. Also no Beef shin Croquetas. The pork belly is fantastic and the portions generous. Price very fair. Highly recommended!

Ate there on Friday night. Not a restful experience. It was very busy and very noisy (a little noise buffering wouldn't go amiss.) The doorman saw us hovering with our drinks near the entrance, and kindly pointed out a table when one came available.  We tried the chorizo - tasty but rather greasy - and the ham croquettes, which were basically fried cheesy balls with a few tiny pieces of ham in them. The stuffed chicken was impressively juicy, probably because it was wrapped in pancetta and had cheese in the middle. It was served with some rather oily stirfried veggies. All-in-all, a rather greasy experience. Mostly though, we couldn't wait to get out so we could hear ourselves think.

The decor and ambience is great and the service fairly good. However, the food was extremely bland. We tried the octopus salad, calamari with salsa verde, spicy beef, Spanish omelette with chorizo and summer fried fish. After hearing good things about this restaurant we were very disappointed that the dishes has almost no flavour.
I popped into La Parada on a sunny CPT afternoon the atmosphere was perfect for the day.I was paid immediate attention as I walked in and quickly served with my drink. The cocktail list is impressive and it has one of my favourites the Hugo which I last had in Europe but I love the
La Parada version.I ordered the calamari with salsa verde a very tasteful meal with lots of flavour .The only downside the bill took too long maybe cause they were tempting me to order more which I would gladly have
