Ever find yourself wandering astray during your work day? That one link that spirals into a full-blown internet safari, complete with dancing walruses, human catapults and something called a pink llama-corn. In our line of work, it’s the delicious things which are our kryptonite. There are some gorgeous blogs out there; replete with stunning food photography, unique stories, and recipes like cinnamon sugar pull apart bread, almond herb tarts with dandelion pesto, truffled fontina and figs, burnt orange ice cream and chocolate chip cookie dough balls (yes, balls of dough, dunked in melted chocolate), which have us drooling on our keyboards.
This year at the Eat In DStv Food Network Produce Awards, for the first time, we’re recognizing the role that our local bloggers play in the local food industry. More than just offering a welcome distraction, our favourite bloggers highlight the little guys, dish the dirt on the bad guys, and share some simple and beautiful ideas.
The process began with a public nomination process. We whittled down the nominees to ten, and now the public (that means you) can vote for your favourite local food blog.
The nominees are:
Betty Bake Blog
Browniegirl
Domestic goddesses
Drizzle and Dip
Food with a Story
Lavender and Lime
Live to Eat
My Easy Cooking
Sardines on Toast
Simply Delicious
